Qurban

Eidul Adha is just around the corner..Most of us will acknowledge it as sorta festival only without knowing in depth what's it actually being celebrated for.

Lets recall the sirah. How Ibrahim willing to sacrifice his son,Ismail to be slaughtered when Allah asked him to do so.As for us as the ummah in these days,is our level of imaan is enough to obey it if Allah asks us to do so?Ask to our own self..

Wealth and properties aint everything. They wont guarantee us a good position in the day after nor it will secure a place for us in Jannah if we dont manage them properly as how its ruled in Islam.Pay zakat, sedeqah, are some of measures in order to purify our hearts from the state of stingy.

Sharing is caring as how the saying goes. How wonderful the world is if all the rich people are willingly enough to donate and share their properties to those in need without any force but all rooted from a good condition of qalb.If thats the case, the wealth and economic level will be well distributed. No ppl live in poverty.

As the eid is just around the corner, let us all do some qurban if we are able to.Its not that hard.As for those living in the UK there's always easy way to do so including online donating.Theres one conducted by Muslim Aid.The link is as follow:

http://www.muslimaid.org/

As for us in Belfast,QMC will provide us with the help of buying and managing the animal that we decided to do qurban for. They will buy the animals from Dublin, take all of the animals to Belfast and Ust Nabir,as the QMC advisor and the one whom all of us will refer to if theres any problem regarding the deen arises, will do the slaughtering thingy. All we need to do is just give our names and the sum of money to Taufik (the pressident) or Ust himself. When there is a will, there is a way:)

In the name of Allah...the Most Gracious ..the Most Merciful..

Time after time..Its ticking the life away..I cant believe that I'm counting down my days towards the end of my journey here in Belfast..but its not the end of everything yet indeed.Life must go on!

I'm gonna miss Tommy waving hsi hands to me from across the road with his great smile! He always give me candies when he got spare of them.He he..dressed up in his fluorescent green uniform pressing the traffic light button so that the pedestrians could walk across the road.
"Hello girls!"
"Helloo Tommy!~"
Drawing himself nearer to me,he said "u just count 45 seconds(cant remember the exact time though,,sorry folks!) after pressing the button then the green light will flash!"
..and im not sure if hes lying since i never got the chance to actually count down the seconds!lol

Online shopping..hmm still scratching my head finding the way I would survive back in Malaysia once again without having this favorite free time habit.Currently trying so hard to buy Bodyshop Products with 15% cashback, free delivery, and 10%discount (privillege that I got for being a member). What more could I expect?aa heaven! What happens in Malaysia?well they dont even have membership card..so pathetic!and the price are way too expensive compared to here with no discounts!!~mummy~

I'm gonna miss the pathway that I walked through to get to the David Bates Building! The street narrow street beside Methodist School.I love it when its autumn when the floor is all covered up by the autumn leaves. Its yellow and gold everywhere!subhanallah..

Now its winter...gotta get used to the usual sceneries when it comes to winter again(my third n last time!:( ), its always raining day and nite followed by strong wind.If u get a wee umbrella u better watch out if u sense any presence of wind.As u better off get it folded and keep it since using an umbrella at this time wont help that much!hehe if u know wut i mean,.. things get even worse if the strong wind makes ur umbrella collapse into its last breath..innalillah..:D

SluGs..sLugs!i never like sLug!till the point that i can hardly see a slug without doing sth cruel on it like ...pouring a certain amt of salt to cover up all over its body..poor u poor u,mr slug~but wut cud i say..its just the way ur life is destined to end!i just cant help on the "geliness" whenever seeing it creeping on the floor leaving gel-like liquid..aaa~i better stop describing it any further now:p or ill get sorta goosebumps all over!

Thats about it..(hoping that i can keep on updating this very blog of mine)

Sultan Terengganu received an honorary doctorate from Queen's??Let's check it out~

The King of Malaysia was today (17/02/09) honoured by Queen’s University Belfast, when the

Yang Di-Pertuan Agong was awarded an honorary degree by Queen’s President and

Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Gregson at the Istana Melawati Putrajaya Palace, Kuala

Lumpur. The award ceremony was the highlight of a week long visit to Malaysia by Queen’s

and is the first time in its 160 year history the University has conferred an honorary degree on

a reigning monarch.

Queen’s University has honoured the King because of his support for higher education and the

links his country has shared with Queen’s over the last 50 years.

Following the ceremony Professor Gregson said: “This is a truly momentous day for Queen’s

University, and one that reinforces the special relationship between Malaysia and Northern

Ireland. Queen’s welcomes the support the King gives to this special relationship and we are

keen to further develop this bond for the mutual benefit of both countries.

Supporting Queen’s international strategy and attending the prestigious event, Northern

Ireland Minister for Employment and Learning, Sir Reg Empey said: “It is through sharing skills

and expertise at home and abroad that we can further develop successful partnerships for the

greater good. I welcome the opportunity this gives to promote the international strategies of

our local universities and I fully support the collaborations between them and universities in a

wide range of countries, including Malaysia. Through such collaborations, important research

breakthroughs are made and Queen’s University must be congratulated for sharing its

knowledge and skills with like-minded institutions on the global stage.

Say cheese!! :D

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful..

I would love to share the recipe that I'd given it a try for a few times.3 times to be exact:p

Tepet was the one who introduced me to the recipe.Credit to oppa! =D I come to remember

when the very first time of an attempt to do it, the taste is rather bizarre.Fortunately Azian

enjoyed it!Hehe. Apparently I had become too eager in getting the lemon zest by grating the

lemon until I didn't even realized that it'd already come to the part of the lemon skin that I

shudn't have grated.Lol.

Sharing is caring. The second time I made the cake was when Azian paid me a visit here in

Belfast soon after the exam finished. We bake it together!Such a cheerful moment to have her

accompanying me while she was having so much fun watching "Rona Roni Makaroni" on

Youtube(just the name I can recall on top of my head:P).The cake was not left to be chillingly

firm enough in the fridge when we decided to have it at 27 Tates Avenue together with our

beloved KYUEMian juniors and kak Aida.=).

Have a nice day and enjoy the excitement of baking a cheese cake urself!Cheers~

Serve you right , Mr Wilders!!

In the name of Allah , most Gracious , most Merciful..

It'd been quite a while since I last updated this blog.Lacking of idea indeed. One thing that I want to share now is how impressed I am with the stand of the country that I am living in at the moment, with anyone who doesn't appreciate the difference in the belief and culture of everyone else.

I really think that Geert Wilders who made the controversial film Fitna deserved the punishment.May such thing like the one faced by him will be the reason for others of the same stand as him to be taken into consideration before doing anything insulting other religions.

As for our part, never close your eyes from what's happening around us , or in other words to be more sensitive especially of what the enemy of Allah and the religion are trying to do in order to get their hands on anything to go against Allah and Rasulullah.

Hopefully we are aware of the existence of those who are trying to get their hands on anything they could , just for the sake of demolishing the Utmost deen.May Allah always keep the religion under His protection.

May all of us be considered as a true Muslim in the eyes of Allah , who always fight for the maslahah of our beloved religion.Ameen~

"Allah has purchased the believers, their lives and their goods. For them (in return) is the Garden (of Paradise). They fight in Allah's Cause, and they slay and are slain; they kill and are killed." {Holy Quran 9:111}

Islam film Dutch MP to be charged

Geert Wilders (file)
Geert Wilders lives under police protection because of death threats

A Dutch court has ordered prosecutors to put a right-wing politician on trial for making anti-Islamic statements.

Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders made a controversial film last year equating Islam with violence and has likened the Koran to Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf.

"In a democratic system, hate speech is considered so serious that it is in the general interest to... draw a clear line," the court in Amsterdam said.

Mr Wilders said the judgement was an "attack on the freedom of expression".

"Participation in the public debate has become a dangerous activity. If you give your opinion, you risk being prosecuted," he said.

Not only he, but all Dutch citizens opposed to the "Islamisation" of their country would be on trial, Mr Wilders warned.

"Who will stand up for our culture if I am silenced?" he added.

'Incitement'

The three judges said that they had weighed Mr Wilders's "one-sided generalisations" against his right to free speech, and ruled that he had gone beyond the normal leeway granted to politicians.

This is a happy day for all followers of Islam who do not want to be tossed on the garbage dump of Nazism
Gerard Spong, lawyer

"The Amsterdam appeals court has ordered the prosecution of member of parliament Geert Wilders for inciting hatred and discrimination, based on comments by him in various media on Muslims and their beliefs," the court said in a statement.

"The court also considers appropriate criminal prosecution for insulting Muslim worshippers because of comparisons between Islam and Nazism made by Wilders," it added.

The court's ruling reverses a decision last year by the public prosecutor's office, which said Mr Wilders's comments had been made outside parliament as a contribution to the debate on Islam in Dutch society and that no criminal offence had been committed.

Prosecutors said on Wednesday that they could not appeal against the judgement and would open an investigation immediately.

Gerard Spong, a prominent lawyer who pushed for Mr Wilders's prosecution, welcomed the court's decision.

"This is a happy day for all followers of Islam who do not want to be tossed on the garbage dump of Nazism," he told reporters.

'Fascist book'

In March 2008, Mr Wilders posted a film about the Koran on the internet, prompting angry protests across the Muslim World.

Geert Wilders speaking on BBC Hardtalk in August 2008

The opening scenes of Fitna - a Koranic term sometimes translated as "strife" - show a copy of the holy book followed by footage of the bomb attacks on the US on 11 September 2001, London in July 2005 and Madrid in March 2004.

Pictures appearing to show Muslim demonstrators holding up placards saying "God bless Hitler" and "Freedom go to hell" also feature.

The film ends with the statement: "Stop Islamisation. Defend our freedom."

Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende said at the time that the film wrongly equated Islam with violence and served "no purpose other than to offend".

A year earlier, Mr Wilders described the Koran as a "fascist book" and called for it to be banned in "the same way we ban Mein Kampf", in a letter published in the De Volkskrant newspaper.

Mr Wilders has had police protection since Dutch director Theo Van Gogh was killed by a radical Islamist in 2004.

Correspondents say his Freedom Party (PVV), which has nine MPs in the lower house of parliament, has built its popularity largely by tapping into the fear and resentment of Muslim immigrants.

sLowLy sLow , Mr sNow!!=D

Queen's Lanyon Building when it was snowing.
Chilling cold me in the uni yard.
Me and Rohasni Roslan having a great day in the snow.Haha

In the name of Allah ,most gracious and most merciful..
I woke up late this morning. The class suppose to begin at 11 a.m but then there are only few minutes left before the class started. While I was in a hurry, I sprang down the staircases, got the door opened and...phew~ there was all white! The transparent crystals falling to the earth, exhibiting a great variety of very beautiful and perfect forms and I didnt even realized it ever since last night!!But it comes to meet my expectation though, since
its already snowing in other parts of UK and Ireland

But it's unpredictable indeed that today is the day that I'm looking forward to..Subhanallah..But then I still need to make sure that I arrived to my AMA2001 class on time even though it was rather unlikely that it would be the case.
Getting inside the Bell Lecture Hall as I had anticipated , the lecture had already begun. But then everytime the lecturer gives out his full- of -enthusiasm lecture as he ever does, his accent really reminds me to Italian language..every single word seems to have vocals at the end =p ..And I only know that he really is an Italian as Ros told me when I asked her on the way back from the school..

The reason why I can't recall when on earth did he tell us that way is due to I missed the 1st few minutes of his lecture while he's introducing himself on the very first day !*sigh* Well , its important to note that everyone here in UK really appreciates time and that everything must be conducted punctually.Such quality is beautifully narrated in The Qoran as what Allah says:

Al-Asr
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the declining day, (1) Lo! man is a state of loss, (2) Save those who believe and do good works, and exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to endurance. (3)

Me and Ros walked home together as the class had finished for today. On our way back ,we grabbed the opportunity to take pictures of Queen's University while it's snowing during day time.We snapped pictures all the way up to the Botanical Garden untill we eventually got home while we were wet all over! And it's freezing chill too!!huhu..Need to get the shoes and clothes dry!=D

Unlike last year, the snow falls down lightly but it can clearly be seen since its day time..It was like a dream come true to enjoy the view for the very first time in the life time. Thanks Allah for the nikmat blessed to me..SubhanAllah..Alhamdulillah..Allahuakbar!

Getting home , got nothing to do other than looking out the window pane and watching the snow flakes that are still falling down and filling the air(doin...if u know wut I mean!haha)..It's like a magnificent heaven on earth..I'm missing the moment in the night where we were throwing snowballs to each other...(and making snowmen too!) in front of the Lanyon Building despite the day which's already getting dark. One thing for sure is that it will remain as an everlasting moment on my mind!hehe...Go on dreaming,Hajar! *sigh* I'll be missin the moment especially when it's already time for me to go back to my home country..=) .That's about it!Cheers!~ Wassalam
